Polk Magnifi Max demo firmware

Hello! New to the forum and have a question. I recently came into possession of a magnifi max soundbar and noticed that it seems to have a demo firmware on it since it only works with optical input and resets the volume level after a few minutes. Wanted to know if anybody has had this issue and if/how they were able to fix it. Maybe a way to flash the firmware or some other fix to at least not have it reset the volume level, I can live with audio over optical only. Thank you!
