difference between a single more powerful sub vs duals of less power

I just sold my old SVS PC Ultra to a friend and looking to buy a new sub/s.

Use - 99% HT
Room - 4000 CF

I’m contemplating either…
2 PB-2000

Or…
1 PB-3000

Thoughts on the difference between a single more powerful sub vs duals of less power?
