Rescued these Focal 705v from a pawn shop, but the vinyl wrap on front left edge of each speaker is peeling back, but not quite enough to get under it with some wood glue.

It also seems like even if it was, the vinyl wrap wouldn’t quite fully cover the MDF.

Any suggestions on how to get these looking good again?

    So I left the speakers in my truck one night intending to do a trade at a resell it place next day; however, I waited longer than intended, and heat in the vehicle pulled the vinyl back further.

    I took a hairdryer to them for the “sleeveless” look. 😄

    Thinking they might look cool if I use dark purple metal flake paint on the sides.

    The cabinets look good. What about using a real wood veneer on them, or painting them a very high gloss piano-type finish with automotive paint?

    The prep for paint on MDF is a project pending paint type and your skill. Fortunately is a relatively small project space. If you like the sound enough to invest a couple hundy's then yes invest.

    My advice if you ever decide to sell. Choose a basic finish.

    Leather would be a nice look too. A high end Ferrari shop could do something really cool on those. Do palomino leather on the baffle and Rosso Corso for the cabinets...

    Another thing about the metal flake concept is the metal plate of the tweeter, texture of the midrange cone, and port all seem to kind of have this going on. Seems like this feature on the outer side panels might tie-in nicely with this.

    Think I'm still leaning in the direction of my original idea.

    It sounds like I will have to learn a bit about painting MDF, per @txcoastal1. Skill level zero. :#

    The artist might have taken the color inspiration from Focal Kanta speakers in the Gaulois Blue color. $15K a pair seems about right.
