Yes. Power one with your receiver and power the second one with an amp receiving a signal from the center preout.

Or, wire them in parallel and power them with an amp that is 4ohm stable (assuming the centers are 8ohm).

you can also split the center pre out into a good 2 channel amp to power each center channel. i used a Y splittler at the end of the interconnect hooked up to the center out on my preamp. plugged both ends of the splitter into each channel of the stereo amp and voila, 2 centers. worked very well for me in my old set up (which i used until very recently)

    Ohskigod,

Maybe you can help me out with this one. I liked the idea of dual centers to create the impression of the sound coming from the center of the screen but heard you can end up with a lot of peaks and valleys as the sound from the two centers interact at different frequencies and locations. Have you noticed anything like that on your setup?

    Thanks,

    Labrat

labrat, you're going to run into that more when you have a center below and above the TV, and really only when you have the two angled so that sound waves cross paths in front of the listening position, and then I'm not even sure how big od a deal it is...

I would assume your are using 2 of the same speaker for this plan, i.e. a pair of bookshelves (which is what i had) or at least 2 of the same type of center. do not mix and match, i can see that causing big problems overall for the sound. for my bookshelve centers, I layed them side to side (tweeter to tweeter) on top of my rear projection TV. no probs whatsoever, both faced straignt out. I heard one on top and one on bottom of TV works well too, but i never tried it.
