mmc650 into patio speakers

Finished my latest speaker project: When I sold my old car last summer I pulled my speakers out. We're getting a deck installed this winter, so for outdoor sound I took the old mmc650's and built a speaker box for them out of outdoor rated plywood and then used a spar varnish to really weather proof the whole thing. Hopefully it will last for years to come.
This is my first time building a speaker box and I was more worried about durability since these are going to be outside than looks, so it's not the prettiest woodworking project I've ever done. When I modeled the specs of the speaker it really called for a massive box...makes sense since they are designed for the open baffle of a rear car deck. I did the best I could with the wood I had and ended up deciding to add a really large slotted port. They sound pretty dang good all things considered, perfect for an outdoor stereo.gn44l6rg87ei.jpg
