LCD Soundsystem & McIntosh

Options
I’m watching the LCD Soundsystem special/not live-live stream on Amazon prime, and I couldn’t help but notice the single McIntosh MC2KW they have on stage. An unexpected find that I had to share with people that would understand.

Looks like they have more than one of them stacked there. Interesting find.

That's actually a 3 box single channel mono block putting out 2000W with an 8000W peak. I find it even more interesting that they only have one.

Why, do you think that would make you cool or something?

I saw a pair of these impressive looking monsters on my last trip to AC a couple months ago. Equally as impressive were the mc901's. I can't imagine the hassle of transporting them and setting them up without damaging them in the process. I wonder what they're doing making live music when a stack of qsc's would no doubt do just as well in that situation?

Indeed it is. I take lots of pics whenever I'm lucky enough to get up there but they just do not do any of their gear justice.
