Passive radiator out of phase issue. What's the best placement of passive radiator

So it seems front firing passive radiator will always be 180 degrees out of phase with main woofers. Do rear firing radiators sort of help with phase alignment.
Are there any other clever tricks to modulate out of phase play of passive radiators

I’m not sure how passive radiators work, so I looked it up. Nobody mentioned anything about them being out of phase. I can understand a slight bit of lag in the response, but certainly not out of phase.

Are you for real?
It's physically impossible for a PR to be "out of phase". They would have to be active radiators to be out of phase and we call active radiators, drivers or speakers to the lay person.
A passive radiator does the same thing as an enclosure vent but instead of being tuned for a specific frequency resonance to reinforce the bass response, a PR is weighted and fluid coupled to the active drivers in the common enclosure to reinforce low end frequency response over a larger range.
Ported enclosures get loose and "farty". PR enclosure don't unless something on the PR failed like part of the suspension structure or there is an issue with the weighting or if any enclosure stuffing has come undone and is impeding movement of the PR.Expert Moron Extraordinaire

Someone posted a graph here back in the day demonstrating the frequency roll-off or dip when incorporating a PR.
One thing's for sure, it's efficiency is directly related to how well your cabinets are sealed. The weak link is the factory tweeter gasket seals and the condition of the MW spider cloths I have found. Some are more porous than others. There is a white mold that has an affinity to the spider cloths and dust cap cloth cellulose material.

Spring analogy is pretty accurate. So looks like they play by themselves..not in ideal synchrony with main drivers.
Nooshinjohn please remind your relatives and friends that inbreeding is bad.
Based on the video you shared PRs are presented in a positive light. He demonstrated with the spring that a PR responds to slower/longer frequencies.
How can something that derives its motion (PRs) from a separate active device (active bass driver) be expected to move instantaneously/simultaneously with the active device?
In this regard, the problem remains the same whether the PR is located on the front, side, rear, bottom, or top of the cabinet.
Am I understanding your question, correctly?
Otherwise, you may be able to get the specific answer to your question by contacting Definitive Technology directly.
Lastly, if you don’t feel you’re getting the SQ you are seeking with a PR in the system, you might consider acoustic suspension designs (closed-box / sealed cabinet) instead.CD Players: Sony CDP-211; Sony DVP-S9000ES; Sony UDP-X800M2 (x2); Cambridge Audio CXC

Not sure of the need for derision. Seems like a fair question to me and definitely something interesting to ponder over the first cup O joe. This guy on Audiogon seems to have an insightful answer and I hope he doesn't mind me posting it here:

Is this gonna be another Polk classic thread? It sure does have all the right ingredients of one.

Was this the one @xschop ? You can see the notch in the output of the driver at the passive radiator resonant frequency, where it is dampened by the PR and the PR predominantly takes over.

PS: I see this thread has been removed from "Recent Discussions". Cancel Culture at work?

Yes, that was like it. Reason why I Power Ported my first CRS+ set as they took less power to achieve higher bass spl in those frequencies.Don't take experimental gene therapies from known eugenicists.
