Lately FedEx has been providing a delivery date then at the last minute changing it to the next day. Annoying for sure, but I do get the delivery the next day.

I get that, too. The one I hate is when it switches to "Pending" the day before or the day of delivery, not telling you when to expect delivery.

Still better than UPS though. They either run up and throw the package in a nice high arc onto my porch, or just roll heavy boxes end over end up the driveway instead of getting out the hand truck.

I just made all that up to bag on UPS a little for no real reason. I've never really had a horrible experience with them, knock wood. I do prefer FedEx, though. For now. And that's more for ease of shipping. Actually, now that I think about it, the damaged products I have received were shipped through FedEx. Piddley stuff, though.

    Nice, Dave.

I have a tracking number on the Polk purchase site that's linked to Fedex. Polk site states EDD: Thu, 16 Sep, but the Fedex link comes up as no record.

Decided to search Old Dominion and entered the tracking number I have and guess what...it worked. Earlier speculation on where they're being shipped from was CA. Nein, coming from Memphis, TN.

Yep. I was in the office today, so the Mrs directed the guy to wheel the pallet into the garage. Good call as it stormed this afternoon! Looks to be well packaged, and being secured on a pallet is nice. No damage to the boxes.

    Whoa, nice pallet. Congrats, guys.

Just checked and my delivery date has been bumped from Thu to Fri w/rain in the forecast, too. They'll go to the garage and wait until Sun or Mon to bring inside. I have family coming in for the weekend and my grandson is just a hair past his first birthday. He loves music but still learning "don't touch". The 3.1's will have to take their chances w/him and the L800's will remain on-deck for later in the weekend.

Congratulations to all the new Legend owners! I would also be most interested in how the L800's perform compared to the Original SDA's. I'm especially curious if the L800's can be pulled into the room a bit to achieve a deeper soundstage than the originals allow with set-up constraints.

I'll be able to test this but, for my space, I won't be able to pull them into the room for daily driving. My hope is they'll do well in a traditional SDA configuration w/out overpowering bass when closer to the wall behind them.

I pulled the trigger on some L600s for the office setup. Very excited!
