For sale Polk RTA 12B - Mint pair for $125 Local Pickup only Charlotte NC area

Options
I am replacing these with R700's. I am the second owner, bought them about 13 years ago and they are in excellent condition.

I am offering them for pickup only. I live in SC about 25 miles from Charlotte NC (uptown Charlotte). They are in an upstairs room, hooked up so you can listen before buying. I can't offer to help with carrying them down (bad back).

If anyone is interested please reply here with an email address and I will answer any questions. Thanks.

I will post a picture if it's important, but really it looks like anything you would see in a review. Anyone interested in it and is a Polk fan like me would know what to expect. The guy I bought it from some 13-15 years ago pampered it and when I got it home it was not moved after that.

So anyone within driving distance that does not mind spending a morning to check it out, I've set the price to bargain basement level as a motivator. I drove 90 miles to get it years ago.

Pics: Left speaker, the tweeter on one, Right speaker. They are still hooked up and being used so I didn't want to uproot them just to bring them together for a picture

Well then, we ARE neighbors. Rock Hill is where I reside as well. Small world. If anyone is interested in these, I can give them a listen....but speak up now because I am thinking these would be great out in the shop (not the ideal location for such a fine set)

I forgot, do these use the SL2000 tweeter?

Sorry, I'm clueless on innards but I see you got your answer.
Tom: Glad to know you are a neighbour. If you are interested in listening let me know here and I will work out a way to reach out to you. Or you let me know here

I have other vintage stuff speakers, odds and ends sitting around unused..
    - Pair of Polk Monitor Series 2 that I had mounted on ceiling that can be bookshelf speakers
    - Polk CSI5 Center
    - Polk CSI100 - a dino - center channel
    - Pair of Polk OWM3's
    - Pair of Atlantic Technology surround speakers - small enough to set on mantel which is where I had them. These go back to the beginning of surround sound

    In Audio I still have:
Harman Kardon HK730 from 1970's !! (I saw one on EBay for $600)
Yamaha's venerable flagship (analog Dolby Logic) AVR from 1991, the DSP A-1000. ( http://www.hifi-classic.net/review/yamaha-dsp-a1000-66.html )

And probably a couple hundred vinyl records I have not touched in 20 years.

These are not available now. I'm not selling them although I did have one prospective buyer who said he's pay twice what I asked (well it's Craigslist I don't trust the people there). I'm giving them to a colleague of mine who knows nothing about Polks . I think he will enjoy them and we may have gained a new Polkie. Thanks all for the info provided on these speakers
