    I have plans to mate this one with a Panasonic RX-FT560 from the 90s, a time when Drew was just a little audio nugget. Nostalgia project. (for clarification, my nostalgia has nothing to do with Drews nuggets)

    Thought about doing this before with a HiFi Berry DAC'd piCorePlayer, but for the deal John's offered here and some 3M double-sided tape, this was a no brainer.

    I actually have two of these things. The first one I got on Ebay (inspired by a blank cassette tape purchase from @jdjohn) had surprisingly less full sound than I remember. I may have imagined this thing sounding good, but I got a second one I haven't had a chance to test yet. Either way, I'm considering exploring some disassembly and minor upgrades fractionally inspired by the mad-scientistyism of @ALL212. May scrap the whole project and just one day build one of those Parts Express Boomboxes and integrate the SBT. By integrate I might just mean PowerGrab.

    It’s really @SCompRacer that did the wierd and wild mad-scientistysms with the SBT. I had to read the directions on how to activate the touch screen so don’t go blaming on me if’n you blow sompin up!

    Ah yes, the old Squeezebox Touch steal the I2S mod...

    It was sent on its way to my DAC by a Teleporter, which allowed longer runs than recommended for I2S signal. Kind of like that transporter in Star Trek, only with wires.
