Nice sleuthing Prof. Hardy! You may have discovered one of the suppliers of Polk's speakers. I always assumed they made them themselves but perhaps not! I'm voting 9th week of 1978, and maybe these are 10's and as Scotty would say, no bloody A, B, or C.George / NJ

I've seen very early Polk loudspeakers on eBAY with (if memory serves) Peerless "midwoofers"... maybe it was actually CTS (Chicago Telephone Service), come to think of it!
CTS could actually make sense, since the "Bozos" and the Model Nine used the once widely-used 4.5 inch CTS 'fullrange' drivers (which are actually pretty nice little drivers -- but that's another story entirely).
I have saved photos... someplace. I will dig 'em up anon.
Right now the weather's too nice!

Next week, I'll pull the crossovers out and post pics.
We'll see if any date codes jive with the 6.5" drivers.
FYI - 3 had "22", one had "23" on the magnets, so almost perfectly matched.
I don't think anyone can hear a one hz. difference in the resonant frequency...
