Well, it’s here. Outboard power supply with NOS Phillips 5R4GYS rectifier and the output tubes are a pair of Sophia 6SN7’s.

Only had time to listen briefly but so far, so good.

I will say that the build quality of Sony ES has been diminished greatly. My old SCD 555ES was built like a brick schitthouse....this isn’t nearly built so. But the sound so far is superb.

    Same here, but I rarely play it anymore. I have ripped my CDs, and buy High Res downloads now.

    Dude, I have about 60 employees.....I'm burned in effigy pretty much 24/7/365.

    And, really, the big thing for me about going with the kw over the A1008 is the feet on the kw glow. I dig that.
