Polk PSW350 subwoofer rattle repair

Howdy Polkies!
Long time no see.
While cleaning basement, found PSW350 I tucked in long time back.
Plugged in and it works but rattles. I suspected spider has come unglued.
Took the RD3505 - 1/2 woofer out and the spider is nicely glued on the basket edge.
However, upon careful inspection, I saw it.
The spider has come unglued from the cone inside.

It's really tricky place to put glue compared to the outside edge.
I put few bowls that cover the dust cover evenly and glued it.
I was not sure what glue to use.
Some videos showed wood glue but I used the glue I use for refoam, Aleene's Original Tacky Glue.
Hopefully, it'll work.
Currently it's drying.
Will try it soon.

It's a success! Tested with bass heavy songs and no rattle even with long bass excursions.
If your sub rattles, check the spider glue both on the outer edge as well as on the inner cone.
The vinyl cover on the front was peeling off so I pulled it all out and sprayed glossy black paint on it.
Not perfect but looks much better than peeling laminate.
Need to find a decent receiver for front speakers and I'll have a workable sound system in basement.

I have the same issue with a PSW404, I was thinking I couldn't fix it... But now I'm going to try. I was looking at some Goldwood drivers to replace it with... But I'll try the glue first... Thanks

Worked awesome... Thank you for the idea! Now hopefully it will buy me some time until I can afford a new one...I didn't realize the spider was separated util I read your post and verified that was my issue. It was only partly separated. I completely separated it and rebonded.good clean bass again!
