So I’m asking this question about 15 years too late, but what is the purpose of a power conditioner having designated outlets? I understand having outlets dedicated to high current components, but what difference does it make if, for example, I plug in my phono pre- into an outlet labeled “video”?

    Video processing circuits generate high frequency noise. The labeled and isolated outlets insure that the noise don’t bleed into other outlets where you can plug-in something like an analog preamp.
