Thanks Tony. I have seen and heard a set in fact and I do not like the way they sound. I would try like all original really.

I've only heard my originals. And I like em too.
When I found my set on the side of the road, the tweeters in them were in pretty darn great condition.
I've seen some on the net that are rusted really bad.
Now my AR4x's tweeters worked fine until I turned the dial on the rear. Then they cut in and out. Mostly out.
I rebuilt the pots and they work like new now.
So this is a dumb question...did you check the tweeter/s out on its/their own?

Oh yeah. Checked them out.. even tried to fix one. Lol. No luck at all there. Amazing how people will throw this old vintage equipment out. Shame on them. Glad you got a set that way though !
