What's your favorite Hot Sauce?

For me, it's Tapatio, then Valentina for most dinner or lunch plates. But with eggs, its Tabasco.

They are not the hottest, but I love thier flavor.

What say you?

    Valentina is mine. Love it!

Tapatio is too spicy for me!

Seems like some Cholula or Texas Pete always works in a pinch, Cholula is just right not being too spicy.

Not my A-list hot sauces but that's whats in the kitchen now.

I tend to have at least 6 or 7 at any given time, use depends on what I am eating. Habanero is my go to flavor.

Unfortunately Frank's red hot is what we have. No one but me likes a big bite. So we all use Frank's. :(

    Jalepeno Tabasco for eggs.
    Crystal with Cajun/Creole foods.

Any other hot sauce usage automatically is a local family affair, "Big Daddy's BBQ and Hot Sauces".

Tabasco, Frank’s or Cholula are what I use.

I never know what to buy when it comes to hot sauces.

Yeah, not terribly hot, but good flavor. I should probably add that I use Sriracha for Pho...since it's right there on the restaurant table.

Are red jalapenos supposedly hotter than the green version?

Let me Wikipedia that for you: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jalapeño

"As the peppers ripen their pungency increases, making red jalapeños to be generally hotter than green jalapeños, at least of the same variety."

IF you can find it, this is the best hot sauce I've tried. The problem, only sold in Mexico (And only some areas). But worth all the effort.

    I don't know if I have a favorite -- I use a bunch of different ones.
I do like Lizano. Mrs. H brought some back some from Costa Rica last time she was there. Fortunately, it's not hard to get without going to Costa Rica. :)

Had a coworker many years ago whose husband grew a plethora of hot pepper varieties. She gave me a jar of a habenero sauce one time that was incredible.

@Ricardo- El Yucateco is in about every grocery store here in Indiana. They also have a red sauce, and a black label, all very good.

Not the Mayakut Habanero sauce. Try to find it. This is (Supposedly) made with some original Mayan process. No vinegar in it. Yummy.
