I was surprised to hear the difference in my SDAs w/o the interconnect cable

I mentioned this at the tail end of my thread in the WTB area but perhaps it should have been put here. Anyhow, recently I had disassembled my 2 channel rig and awaited repair of my preamp. When I put things back together I thought something was missing and realized after short order that I forgot to reconnect the 2Bs to each other. Now I was expecting this to have a dramatic effect on the soundstage(and it did) but I also noticed how the bass seemed to be more prominent and smoother(not really sure what words to use here). Mids seemed clearer too.

Has anybody experienced this with their SDA speakers? Maybe not if nobody else is as absent minded as me and never forgot to use the cable?
