    Yeah, just saw that.
    Ain't That a Shame. :(

(OK, yeah, that was Fats, but you get the idea)

Simply put, we wouldn't have rock & roll -- at least in the sense of rock & roll (dude) -- without Richard Penniman. (OK, IMO, YMMV, yadda^3)

At least he lived to a ripe old age, as did Chuck. Testaments to the clean-living rock lifestyle, just like ol' Keef in the UK. B)

A pioneer for sure, one of the best parts of Rock & Roll.

    RIP

I guess Jerry Lee Lewis is the last man standing.
2 channel: Anthem 225 Integrated amp; Parasound Ztuner; TechnicsTT SL1350; Vincent PHO-8 phono pre; Marantz CD6005 spinner; Polk SDA2BTL's; LAT International speaker cables, ZU Mission IC's and power cables all into a PS Audio Dectet Power center.

Other; M10 series II, M7C's, Hafler XL600 amp, RB-980BX, Parasound HCA-1500 amp , P5 preamp, all in storage. All vintage Polk have had crossover rebuilds and tweeter upgrades.

Back in the 70's I came across an album that had Little Richard and Hendrix on it. Love both those guys so I thought I had struck gold. Unfortunately it sounded like it had been mastered with an Etch-A-Sketch so I got passed it on
    .
Here's a clip from the movie "The Girl Can't Help It". Little Richard belts out a nice "Ready Teddy". Halfway through the clip, the movie cuts to Jayne Maansfield talking to her manager. I found myself saying " "Hey Jane STFU I'm trying to hear LIttle Richard".
Reading the user comments, apparently I'm not alone in that sentiment.
