Well It Sounds Like One of My Tweeters on one of my 705's is Bad

I just did a sine sweep test tone to check my speakers as they haven't been sounding as good as they use to. I thought it was maybe my ears as I wear hearing aids. I had forgotten I had a sound quality reference CD so I decided to test them.
My left tower tweeter is making a slight popping sound. I called Polk and had to leave a return phone call number for them to call me. I hope they do and this doesn't become a long drawn out issue.

Not sure if you have done it yet, but did you try with different sources and check all connections?
Several years ago I had a Preamp/DAC that caused a similar issue. -

check the resistors as well might have toasted one.
