Lost My Dog Alert

I just got an automated lost dog alert phone call. I can’t believe it. Will cats be next? I hope they find their dog, but sending out mass phone calls is a bit too much. It has gotten to the point where I do not answer the phone anymore. It is just one robo-call after another.

Google Pixel phones allows you to let the phone screen any calls you want with a robo voice that talks to the person while typing out the conversation on the screen so you can read what they say as they're saying it to decide if you want to take the call. Most of them hang up.

Good point, but this was a landline. I keep it just for phone calls like this. So far my cell is relatively spam free.

Be careful Bud, I'm guessing a robo call about a lost dog has nothing to do with a lost dog. Maybe somebody is just wanting to see if you'll pick up, dictating your home, or not.

We had to buy new cordless phones. They have a block caller feature. Slowly we have been eliminating those #$%@ robo calls.

We have plenty of irresponsible pet owners whose dogs and cats get out...multiple times. Then the neighborhood page gets filled up with their "Have you seen Rex..." posts.

Sounds suspicious to me. Most spam calls are on auto block on our land and cells but some crap still sneaks through here n there. Lost dog? If it was one of my dogs that would be cool to do a close by mass call. My dogs are like my kids so if I lost one Id be lost too. FWIW I like the idea. 💡 just so hard to know what's spam and what's not when that phone rings with an unfamiliar #

I guess those folks are hoping none of their sheltering in place neighbors have a copy of that cookbook How to Wok Your Dog.
