    Wow, sad news.

I became a fan of the music of both around the same time. 'In 84 First Circle from the Pat Metheny Group blew me a way and I've been a fan ever since. Then in '86 Paul Simon's South African influenced Graceland introduced me to Ladysmith Black Mambazo. I loved the cuts Diamonds on the Soles of Her Shoes, Homeless, You Can Call Me Al so that I purchased the album....which was the one and only Paul Simon album I ever purchased.

Such great music over the years from both.

    RIP
