Nice 12au7 tubes

Options
I have three pairs of 12au7 tubes up for sale. I’m no tube expert so I’ll do my best to answer any questions but I did purchase all of these off of a well known member here. I didn’t put very many hours on any of the sets as I moved on from the preamp that I was using them in.

First up is the most sought after set which is a matched pair of 1959 Valvo short plate slanted halo. These were NOS when i received them and then probably put less than 20 hours on them from there. Asking $120 for the pair.

Next is a pair of 1959 Mullard Mitchum long plate halo tubes. One of the tubes is marked Heath and the other Amperex bugle boy. Both marked with the date code of K61 R9F making them the same tube as it was explained to me.
Asking $90 for these.

Last set is a pair of 1950’s RCA Clear top black plate side D getter tubes.
Asking $45 for these guys.

I will take $210 if you buy all three pairs. I’m asking less than what I paid for these but haven’t been keeping up with tube prices so if you guys think I’m out of line just let me know.

Danny

All of these are still available at this time. I may be interested in trading a set for some decent xlr interconnects.

Price drop to $200 for all six tubes for a few more days before posting these elsewhere.

Those Valvo tubes are excellent. I still prefer the long plate version, but even the short plates are excellent.

Taken from a recent Audioholics reply regarding "Club Polk" and Polk speakers:
"I'm yet to hear a Polk speaker that merits more than a sentence and 60 seconds discussion." :\
My response is: If you need 60 seconds to respond in one sentence, you probably should't be evaluating Polk speakers.....

Those Mitchum-made Mullards are also fantastic tubes. Good soundstage and air with midrange bloom.

Well now the Mullards and RCA clear tops are back on the market. An unfortunate issue came up on the buyers end so they’re back up for grabs.

    PM sent.

I ordered the Valvo tubes but today received the Mullard tubes that I think were meant to be sent by op to audiluvur. And audioluvr must have received my Valvo tubes.

We will straighten this out. No problem. Mistakes happen.

    Thanks.

Oh chit! he must have been reading and following up on the "Sippin' Bourbon" thread when he shipped them.

    My bad.
