Security camera advice

I don't know if they make something like what I'm looking for but I would like a battery powered security camera for the front porch that is both wired (ethernet) and wireless that has a PC app for monitoring. My wife is at her PC most of the day and it would be easier just to use her PC monitor instead of a smart phone for monitoring who's at the door. If I understand correctly, I could use the ethernet port on the camera to connect to my router for initial set up and then disconnect?

    I’ve been looking at the ARLO cameras. Battery powered, or wall wart IIRC. Wireless, from what I’ve read easy to set up.
