I have the 8T's and hold them with high regard. The RTA are a very musical speaker which provides a very accurate stereo image and continues to make me smile each and every time I hear them.

About $150.00 . These were a dealer demo unit ( I saw in their showroom) but tweeters were changed (not polks) . Other than this problem condition is mint. I can easily order the replacement tweets from polk. Should I go for it? tks for any advise.

A dealer demo unit? The RTA 8 has not been in Polk's line for almost 15 years. Where you shopping man, The Twilight Zone or what?

By the time you replace the tweeter$ they won't be such a deal anymore.

Saw the unit in their stockroom. I guess they had no plans of selling it because of the tweeter change. Wow 18 years . This unit must be for me. If these speakers are keepers, ill take the plunge. tks
