I am anxious to see it, but I’ll be waiting for the Blu-ray. There just isn’t anything else I want from Disney to justify subscribing to their service....

You might be waiting for a very very long time.
Read this in the Emperor’s voice - “So be it”, lol. In all seriousness, I doubt it will be too long - too much $$$ to be made with a Blu-ray release. However, Disney has figured out just about every other way to screw-up the Star Wars franchise, so why not distribution too?
I just hope this new one is more “Rogue One”, and less “Force Awakens”. In fact, ZERO Force Awakens would be good....

I think unfortunately they are going to argue there is too much money to be made via exclusive streaming content vs a DVD/Blu-ray release. Now that the infrastructure is in place, it's possible getting someone for one month would offer the same return as purchasing one copy of a physical release. Profit margins are more easily baked in without physical production and distribution. And it's likely that most users don't cancel after one month.
If it's a big hit, they might have it on Blu-ray at some point, but look how few Netflix shows make it to Blu-ray. This is the same business model. I'd say it's more likely we see a vinyl soundtrack release before we see a Blu-ray. And it needs to be a pretty big hit to even get that.
I do love the spaghetti western style of the show. And visually stunning. Glad to hear I wasn’t the only one disappointed with the sound. Thought it might be Disney plus at first, but the movies sounded fine.

I'm holding off on the Disney+ train for a bit, but the trailers for that show specifically have been tempting.

Actually... I do know what this is, but only because I heard a review on All Things Considered a little while ago.
