    White.

Get a skillet & cook up a couple of shallots & 2-4-6 cloves of garlic, depending, in good olive oil until it smells good. 2 minutes roughly.

Add in about 3/4 lb of chopped clams, their juice, 1/2 cup of chicken broth & 1/2 cup of white wine & a small (8oz) bottle of clam juice.

You can use canned clams, if you must.

Heat until boil, back off & reduce liquid for ~15 minutes.
Finish with a couple of tablespoons of good butter and salt & pepper to taste.

No, I had a date with an elderly woman (my age) and it knocked the dust and crust off her. She was very grateful and she thought the garlic bread was really romantic.

Do you recommend the clams be bearded or not?
