Mother In-Law Passed, Now it's gotten WEIRD!

Ok so I don't think I'm crazy.

My mother in-law passed last Saturday @ 91. Her kidney's had shut down a few weeks ago and there was nothing the doctors said they could do. The last 4 days of her life she could not hold food or water down. She was on comfort care only so no IV. All she had were these sponges soaked in water and sometime a little Morphine mixed in. I visited her the night before and she was telling me she misses my soup. Up till noon on Saturday she knew who everybody was and could speak very faint. She passed at 3:57 PM on 10/19.

Now is where it starts to get weird.

Some of the family has been saying Grandma has been visiting. OK I figure they miss her or too much smoke.

My 16 year old nephew woke his parents up @ 3am and said grandma was in the kitchen. Sister in-law went out and the dishes had been rearranged.

A few in the family have said when they turn on the TV it's on the Catholic channel. Yeah ok last 3 times I've turned ours on it's been on the Catholic channel, I asked and nobody watches it. I'm almost scared to turn it on now.

The other night my wife and I were going over the slideshow for the viewing. Right when a picture came up of a cousin grandma didn't like there was a loud slap on the desk. My wife and I were the only ones home. She deleted the picture.

This morning I got up and went down stairs and grandma's soup bowl and glass was on the counter where she always put it after cleaning. I hope the kids are not trying to prank us.

I know I'm not crazy but this has gotten a little weird. dishes out of place, Catholic channel, desk slap and some have said the towel drawer have been rearranged.

I do feel for my wife. Tomorrow is the viewing and her birthday. I've been bending over backwards to be nice to her. We are going to have a birthday dinner for my wife tonight.

Peace be with you

My mom has been far more subtle than that, but I do believe she tries to communicate. Don't be afraid to talk to her, and make her feel at home. B)

May God grant your family peace and comfort now and always.

It happens it's not weird she is there. I agree talk to her tell her you will be ok and to move towards the light as such and such (husband, brother etc.) Is waiting for her.

    My condolences

Apparently there's still work to be done, she's still happy to do her part. Just make sure not to let it dag on too long.

I gotta admit, got a chill while reading this post. But first and foremost, my condolences to you and your family.

Lots of testimonials out there about the spirit world, both religious and otherwise.

If anything, it shows that your family has a deep connection with Grandma, and will continue to do so.

    Take care my friend.

  • Sorry for your family’s loss.
Oh, Listen here mister. We got no way of understandin' this world. But we got as much sense of this bird flyin in the sky. Now there is a lot that bird don't know, but it don't change the fact that the world is happening to him all the same. What I am tryin to say is, is that the course of your life, well its changing, and you don't even see it- Forest Bondurant

My family are all very perceptive to family members who refuse to move on. From simultaneous dreams of impending doom to blatant visual observations. Sounds like Grandma has strength even in passing.

    Hello,

Thank you all for the prayers and condolences.

We had the viewing on Sunday afternoon which went very good. Yesterday we put her to rest.

Seems like a lot of the paranormal stuff has cooled down after the viewing. TV's are no longer stuck on the Catholic channel. no more strange dishes being where they shouldn't be. Other family members are saying the same.

After the funeral there was a big painting of grandma (AKA Mother in-law). Nobody wanted to take it home. I asked my wife and she said she didn't want to see her mom looking at her like that everyday.

Now there is the typical Filipino family drama we are staying away from. Should cool down in a month or so.

    Peace be with you
