Busted Laptop Screen

My son "accidentally" bust his Acer laptop screen and they run about 50 bucks on Ebay.
How difficult are these to do yourself before I go down this mini rabbit hole of life.....

Lol my son and I went down that journey a few years back. Bought a kit on ebay, all plug and play.

The toughest part was to unsnap all the plastic parts (frame around the screen, etc) for fear of breaking them.

In the end, it all worked out. Funny he and I talked about that the other day, a good memory! :)

Yeah as soon as I posted this he was able to pop the bezel apart and we got the screen out easily. Looks like Ebay carries these for around 50 bucks. Im going to let him do most of it because I think kids need to learn that kind of tactile skill stuff at an eary age ie Dad doesn't have to jump in and save the world every time!😂

quite easy, but a bit tedious. Those connectors are small and feel not that solid, so they must be inserted exactly straight.

Small screws and the general cheap feel of the plastic make it seem like something will go wrong, but worked fantastic!

Our biggest issue, was finding one that was "for sure" the right screen. There are so many variations, and some are similar but not exact, and some seem to be chinese knock offs.
