Help me pick a $500 sub

Hello everyone,,
I'm finishing up piecing my "Home Theater on a budget" together and need help on picking up a sub for about $500.

It's going in the basement but will be the "primary" HT in the house.
It will also be used for listening to music as well.

The basement dimensions are about 22'x27'x7'ceiling.
The HT will be in the corner of the basement.

The components I have are:
Amps:
Pre- Anthem AVM20
Amps- Anthem MCA20(fronts) & Parasound HCA 1205A(center & surrounds)
Speakers:
RTI12(fronts), CS400i(center), RTI4 x 4(surrounds)

I've picked up everything used except the RTI4s and I have about $950 into the setup so far.

I'm looking for a descent sub but really don't want to spend more than $500.

My Preamp has outputs for two subs so I'm not opposed to getting two lower end subs as well.
I see that Newegg has the PSW505 for $200 shipped so I could effectively get two of them to push the air around.
OR
Would I be better off getting a single $500 sub instead?

Any help is much appreciated.

Find an SVS or HSU on Craigslist, OR, you could build your own if you're handy.

PSW505 won't do a lot in that size room. I had one in a much smaller room and it wasn't that great. You need to up your budget or wait till you can spend more for a larger sub.

Comes in at around $600 shipped, but its the best bang for your buck new at that price.

The only real option in your price range: https://www.svsound.com/collections/outlet-specials/products/pb-1000-outlet-1496

This is a VERY good sub for the money.

Check out Rythmik as well. Their two entry models are $550 and $600 with shipping.

Raise the budget $150 and you can get either a SB or PB2000 from the svs outlet store. Keep in mind they have a 45 day in home trial with free shipping both ways. If it doesn't "blow your sack back", return it... Easy peasy. Bet you won't though B)

I agree, though I would argue that the HSU is the better overall value. It has both sealed and ported modes with similar output and extension to the PB2000...

Seconded. SVS offers a bit more refinement in some areas, but the HSU will be more sub for the money.

I’ve owned a similar sub. While solid, I still think that one HSU is better than not if those...
