Two different MW6500s?

I purchased a pair of M7Bs last week and the seller also included one she got from eBay. She thought the sound problem was with the drivers but when she played them for me it was aged crossover caps, will replace those parts soon. So when I pulled the drivers they were slightly different even though the were both labeled MW6500. One basket, gray colored, had about 1/4" dimple in the back that pushed the magnet assembly further back from the front of the speaker. The magnet assembly on the black version was flush to the basket (the eBay
spare was the same). I'm thinking the "black" version is the original and she got the gray one from eBay and tried it. Anybody have any idea on this gray one? Do you think it is actually another speaker that someone slapped a MW6500 label on? I have a MW6510 from an 8T that has that same dimpled basket in the rear? BTW, all 3 drivers made it home without the magnet shift, they all have been glued up as soon as got home.

They are both MW6500. The silver is the first version of the MW6500. Electronically I'd like to think they should be the same. Both show up on eBay from time to time.
