How do these compare with the RTi28's or RTi38's.

No comparison in my opinion. Better mids, highs, better transition between the two.

The only thing the 28 or 38 might have on them is a little more low-end punch. The RTi6 vs the 303 was too close for me to call. Some said the B&W had a little 'darker' sound, I just thought the opposite that the Polk was a little 'brighter'.

I heard these at the abode when I visited Texas, and they are real nice. I also think they are a little more laid back then the Polk which is a good thing to me personally.

Great deal, real nice bookshelf. I love bookshelf speakers, bar freaking none.
CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

I'm looking for some good bookshelves for a friends HT, but I'm not sure I could come up with the center to match at a good price. I think I'll do a little more looking at the RT(i) series since it is easier to complete a timber-matched system. Thanks for offering them up here. They are very nice looking speakers.

    I also love bookshelves:
    I've had over the years-Monitor 4's, RT5's, RT35's, RTi6's, LSi7's.

The DM17's left last week. I sold the center - LCR3 to match, about 2 months ago. They can be had for $150 or so, when they pop up.
