Dead-esque music (new to me)

Heard a snippet of this as a "music bed" (interstitial music) on the local portion of Morning Edition on VT Public Radio https://www.vpr.org/programs/morning-edition

The local host, Mitch Wertlieb, is something of a Deadhead, so this isn't unexpected... but it was new-to-me, so I thought I'd share.

It's rather obviously inspired by "St. Stephen" :)
(which is not a bad thing, IMO)

Circles Around the Sun is the band that was created to play at intermission of the GD 50th Anniversary Fare Thee Well Concerts in CA and Chicago. The CD you mentioned is the intermission music from those FTW concerts. They recently released another CD. Both CDs are available on dead.net.

Thanks -- that was totally unknown to me. Guess I should turn in my tie-dye and my... umm... blotters and hang my head in shame.
