    Its hard to believe some of the stuff that apparently happened, such as not wanting to reduce output because the industrial factories needed the electricity. And how the scientist was thrown under the bus at the end. Just unbelievable stuff.

    I just watched the documentary on Netflix. Building Chernobyl's Megatomb. The largest structure ever moved into place on land. Interesting! :smile:

    Yep. Even the new building is only guaranteed for 100 years! They also encapsulated the steel structure, like the attic of your house, with a climate control system, cause it would be impossible to paint it, which is normal maintenance for steel.

    They have huge gantry cranes inside now, and they are actually planning to remove all the radioactive debris remotely. Better get it done in 100 years! :smile:
