Building bipoles

So I spent the afternoon hacking another couple of pairs of Krix cinema speakers, turning them into bipoles for my buddy's home theater. I built a center channel out of another pair of these back in December.

I’ve always used plain old wood glue on projects like this, but I was wondering if anyone who has built speakers could recommend better glue, like what polk used on the vintage cabinets? That stuff is tough! Any suggestions would be appreciated! Thanks in advance.
Dissembled the original cabinets carefully, trimmed to fit the new form factor.

First try was shallower. Had to go to a 45 deg to maintain clearance for the drivers and ports inside the new cabs.

Dry fitting the final form factor:

I've used Liquid Nails when adding extra bracing to some cabinets.... Takes a little longer to fully cure, but forget about trying to remove or reset it.

    Getting closer on these. :)
Kinda excited to see how they sound and work out. Concerned that the bi-poles may have more driver than volume. But they’re surrounds so we’ll roll em off a little high ;)

Thanks @DSkip, it’s all good! Fun way to spend some time. Learned on this project that working with MDF and veneer is much easier than solid hardwood. The bipole endcaps are solid oak and I ruined two 1/2” boards getting them right. I built top and bottom caps out of solid oak for the bookshelf speakers (will be rear surrounds) I ruined two of them milling and trimming them. Very frustrating. So the tops are now MDF with oak veneer. Lessons learned and the woodwork is pretty much done now. Bookshelf cabinets’ cloth covered side panels and grille cloth will be completed tomorrow. Need a little more stain and poly on the cabinets and this set will be done!

Just need to redo grille cloth and wipe on a little poly and I’ll be done with these suckers!
The bipoles sound surprisingly good. Experimented with wiring the crossovers out of phase di-pole) and that did bad things to the sound. I’ll have to see what sounds best in room where they’re going to be installed.
