WTB: Polk Audio LSiM706c

I’m on the hunt for a midnight mahogany 706c center speaker. I’m located in Northern California. I don’t mind scratches & blemishes but I don’t want with with damage to it.

Aren’t they on sale at Adorama currently? Hard to beat that price w/ free shipping. Check slickdeals.com. I think I got an email from Adorama a couple days ago that pretty much all LSiM’s we’re back on super sale

I didn’t know that. I haven’t been watching for sales. I remember a slickdeal recently that involved a rebate directly from SD but that one expired.

The other thing is if you are on a budget I'd go for the LSiM-704 for only a bit over two hundy. That's also a real nice center.

In fact, if it were me, I'd get the LSiM 703's and a 704 center on sale at Adorama for a bit over 8 hundy, then I'd sell your LSi's to defray the cost. I don't remember if you have LSi 7's or 9's. Both very good speakers. But the LSiM's are a good step above the LSi's and the 703 is quite remarkable after a lengthy break-in period. The 703's are also 8 ohm and thus easier to drive. If you can sell the LSi's for reasonable used value, you may end up getting the LSiM's for peanuts. It would be a VERY nice front end.

Agree with @dromunds. Big step up from the older series!
