Moved the entire analog chain to Zu cables. Mission Mk1 interconnects, and Libtec speaker cables. For the prices that some of this stuff is going for on the auctions, it's hard to turn down the chance just to try it. Thanks again for the tip @marvda1!

I swapped my old interconnects for the Groneberg I just received from @ALL212. So, apparently nothing much. The old ones (DAC to preamp) we’re Straight Wire Symphony II and too long for the purpose. I was pleasantly surprised with the new ones and told Aaron as much. The Odyssey website showed that they should be connected one way, but Klaus emailed me with the opposite recommendation. So I swapped ends thinking that could hardly make a difference, but i think it did. When I played Pop Pop by famous vocalist/mumbler Rickie Lee Jones, I was able to understand a bit more of the words. This is a nice, mostly acoustic, album that was used by the guy to demonstrate the Joule Electra to me when I bought it. At the time, I had not heard much of it. Thank you, Aaron.

I picked up a new to me cd as well... The Beatles Abbey Road, Matrix CP35-3016 20A1. This would be the very scarce 1983 release, regarded as the best of all Abbey Road editions.

I've installed a new IC from pre to amp, Zavfino1877Phono Arcadia MkII, and a pair of their Nova OCC speaker cables. They sound lovely with my SS gear. Warm, true to live, and projecting a sense of weight behind the music. Very reasonably priced, as well.
