getting mm455's to fit

im still working on getting my 455's to fit
i went to the metra site to order the mounting adpaters(part number 82-3002) and i found the adapters but no place to order them...
did i just not look hard enough or what?
and i was told if they still fit a little tight i should remove the beauty caps
what are these for and how hard is it to take them off?
if i take them off will it compromise performance
i have 2 mm120s and if it compromises the bass a little on the 455s thats fine
