Rega Planar 3... a whole different animal

Options
Last October at RMAF I came across this company called "Butcher Block Acoustics" that makes audio platforms. After seeing they're reasonably priced hunks of wood. And since I was still in the market for a new turntable. I decided to try my hand at designing and building my own turntable.
For the most part a majority of the components are what I could piece together from a Rega Planar 3.
There were a lot of obstacles and a lot more money involved than I originally anticipated. But after two months this deal is finally complete.

    High marks!

Wood plinths are beautiful and do a good job of damping vibes.

I just bought a butcher block table top. I'm putting my mini-mill and a drill press on it. You turned one into an absolute work of art. Excellent skills!

Thanks guys! I'm taking this into work tomorrow, there's some people that want to see it. Then I'll take it home and level it, align the cartridge and all that other stuff. But I'll let you guys know how it sounds.
