Hey polkies,
I know the vast majority of you know the reputation of Marantz’s higher end offerings. The SA8005 is fantastic and has performed very well for me, but I haven’t popped in a CD since I got into vinyl. I either play vinyl or stream from my Bluesound node. I bought the player new from Music Direct 11 months ago. The player has a very very good internal dac and can be utilized for an external digital source with a lesser dac as well.
The player is perfect. I am fanatical about taking care of my gear. I have sold lots and lots of stuff here, and I’m sure others can chime in on the condition of my stuff. I do not have pictures of it right now, but can add in the next few days.
I have all the factory packaging, remote etc. I am unsure if the box has the original power cord, but if not I will include a Pangea cord in place of the stock cord.

Oh man Zach... if I had the funds, this would be mine!
And I can certainly vouch for the condition of Zach’s gear that he sells. I doubt there is another member who has bought more from Zach than I have! Everything I have gotten from Zach has been pristine (the Oppo 103, the B&K amp, the Rega RP-1, the rack, and I’m sure the Lounge Audio that’s on its way is perfect too). Somebody buy this so I can stop dreaming! -

I have two 8005 series Marantz units and can vouch for their musical sound and build quality. The SA8005 also shares the same CS4398 D/A converter as mine. I use mine strictly for playing flac and to me this is what music is supposed to sound like. If either of my units failed, I'd go right out and replace them with the same thing. Good stuff! Good luck with sale.

With the price of shipping these days, the fact that Zach is including it in the asking price makes this deal a no-brainer if you are even remotely interested in exploring the vastly superior (in terms of sonics) SACD format.
