Martin Luther King Jr Holiday

So Friday I found out that the company I now work for gives us this holiday. Woo hoo. This is the first job I have had that gives employees this holiday. Especially since it is so soon after Xmas.

So to celebrate having Monday off I am drinking beer, and listening to tunes on a Sunday night. Thanks MLK. :)

A noted thinker once said, “What blesses one blesses all.” Here’s to Dr. King. His work continues.

His work continues indeed... sadly today’s messengers forgot what MLK’s message was.

Rest In Peace Dr. King... you are a true American Hero.

  • Yep, 1968 was s tumultious year for our country as it was for myself. Same year that I quit school and hit the road @ 16.

Mlk's messages are as profound today as then. We also lost Bobby Kennedy that same year. Two great Americans I held in high esteem then and still do now. I am being overwhelmed with sentimentality right now.
2 channel: Anthem 225 Integrated amp; Parasound Ztuner; TechnicsTT SL1350; Vincent PHO-8 phono pre; Marantz CD6005 spinner; Polk SDA2BTL's; LAT International speaker cables, ZU Mission IC's and power cables all into a PS Audio Dectet Power center.

Other; M10 series II, M7C's, Hafler XL600 amp, RB-980BX, Parasound HCA-1500 amp , P5 preamp, all in storage. All vintage Polk have had crossover rebuilds and tweeter upgrades.

I'm currently reading his "autobiography" and I have a whole new appreciation for him. If it were required reading in schools I dare say that race relations would improve.

The problem with many this day in age is they have no idea of the man's name who assassinated Dr. King.
Its frightening to me to be honest.
I asked 3 of our most vocal employees and they had to Google it :(:(:(
