Ok Skip I'd like to know how that 140wpc integrated has 150 amps of peak current? That seems extreme but that is what is says on their website.
Curiosity has the best of me.

    Unless I'm reading it wrong

    - Extreme low noise, high speed schematic topology and wide band ( >2 MHz ).
    - High current MOS-FET power device (150 A output peak current).

    Why is that extreme
Have you looked at the Modwright KWI200 or the Hegel?
    2-channel: Modwright KWI-200 Integrated, Dynaudio C1-II Signatures
Desktop rig: LSi7, Polk 110sub, Dayens Ampino amp, W4S DAC/pre, Sonos, JRiver
Gear on standby: Melody 101 tube pre, Unison Research Simply Italy Integrated
Gone to new homes: (Matt Polk's)Threshold Stasis SA12e monoblocks, Pass XA30.5 amp, Usher MD2 speakers, Dynaudio C4 platinum speakers, Modwright LS100 (voltz), Simaudio 780D DAC

No I'm basically going off past big Parasound amps. I'm in no way saying it is wrong or out of line. Just not familiar with THAT high of current. I knew some Krell were real high current and could double own to 1 ohm but they were also rated higher WPC
But it would be the first integrated I have seen that high in peak current.

It is 36 amps constant but can handle up to 150 amps. The IPA-70B is 24 amps constant and up to 100 amps.

I'm not comprehending that spec, how can amperes/current have such a wide capability ? That's the first time I've seen amperes reflected in a spec like that.

I got the gear in yesterday. My first batch includes the IPA-140B, HS-IPA1 w/ DAC and headphone, and the DS-1 CD player.

The Norma separates I got really impressed but this is the first time I get to hear their digital. The DS-1 is roughly a $5,000 CD player w/ DAC and I'm impressed from first listen. It took me 15-20 minutes to adjust to its sound because it was so different than what I was accustomed to. Its distinctly Italian, but has a difference presence in the soundstage than the North Star gear does. It will be interesting to see how it breaks in over time.

So it sounds like how a Fellini movie looks?
