I’m not that tech savvy so just opened our new system and see it appears to need wiring for speakers. Why would they not come with everything needed?
Also as new to this home theater system world, I can’t find an actual full setup video anywhere for this system.
Do we need to buy the wiring and hook it up to the tv or cable box? Keep seeing stuff about a receiver....
Old guy confused here.

Yes, you need a receiver and a hdmi cable, speaker cables, and a subwoofer cable. Possibly a digital toslink cable too depending on your cable box.HT SYSTEM-

Welcome to Club Polk!
Please tell us what the rest of your system consists of, then we can give better information.
It sounds like you wanted to get a surround bar instead of separate speakers. With a sound bar you would just hook it up to your tv.Marantz AV-7705 PrePro, Classé 5 channel 200wpc Amp, Oppo 103 BluRay, Rotel RCD-1072 CDP, Sony XBR-49X800E TV, Polk S60 Main Speakers, Polk ES30 Center Channel, Polk S15 Surround Speakers SVS NSD-12 SB12 x2 -
