Hafler XL-280 amplifier, super fine shape!

This is my last item to go. Its in amazing shape. In stereo it is 150 watts at 8ohms and 200 at 4phms. Great for running those 4ohm Polks. You can bridge it to a 400 watt mono block. No scratches, dings,or dents. There are even upgrade kits on ebay for it.

Give him a break, Craig, some people would rather see the detail of totes and chair backs than of amps.

I've always wondered about the other Hafler amps. I have a Trans Nova with similar specs, and it's got punchy, smooth sound.

Read the Stereophile review. They even sell capacitor upgrade kits on ebay for $40
  • I like Hafler a lot. I have a XL600 which is the most powerful Hafler amp. It is good to 1 ohm @ 900w. This thing sounds awesome even at its age. Someday it will be upgraded, boards and caps and it will be fabulous.

@motorhead43026 is not alone. Every time I see you post pics, I have the same thought. Better pics would help sell. I've noticed you tend to take close-ups in poor lighting conditions. That's fairly useless unless trying to capture a flaw and makes it hard to get an idea of the overall condition of the piece. Whole component pics from different sides are much better. Leave the zooming to the viewer, which is easy with pics posted here.

Your bruhaha over the Lsi's several weeks back could have probably been avoided with better pics. My, hopefully constructive, $0.02.

Not really Dave. It really just ticks me off. Kind of an asshat post by both of you.

The lsi7 situation had Nothng to do with pics. I posted 15 or so pictures. The guy was pulling a scam. Maybe avoid adding your non-cents unless you really have all of the facts. $400 for 5 lsi7 is tough to complain about. Either it was all a lie or minor shipping damage. He wouldnt respond to paypal, wouldnt return them for a refund and the case was decided in my favor.

Yup, I purposely take poor pics in poor lighting.

Dude I was trying to sell your amp by endorsing it. And your pictures are of poor quality, not knowing the earlier situation.

If I'm the third, then I apologize, as well. I didn't intend to muck up your sale thread, and was also commenting to give the thread a bump with my pleasing experience with a Hafler sound, and yeah, as well a little ribbing in jest. Sorry dude.

It is a fine amp. I'm sure it'll sell quickly.

I dont think so. He canceled and refunded my money for a deal we made a week ago because if this thread. All I got was "I'm no longer selling on the Polk Audio Forum".

I see it as kind of a dick move since I had already paid for the center speaker. It bothers me a little more the more I think about it.

Well that’s too bad. Was hoping after a couple of members shite on this thread. Maybe he’ll reconsider.

Well that blows. I can understand his frustration though. There are a few members on here that are too sarcastic or act like they're the smartest around that kinda ruin the place.

If people are gonna have attitude when posting then generally they are gonna be a pain to deal with when selling to. I didn’t appreciate the comments insinuating I am taking blurry photos to hide imperfections. Any buyer has the responsibility to ask questions and for more pics if they needmore detail. I just hadnt gotten around to posting more pics.

Dave H’s comments about “the bruhaha” over the lsi7’s was out of line. That guy was a crook and never accepted thereturn offer and never responded to paypal. The case was not decided in his favor. To blame me for that was bs. Some minor shipping damage for which we could have easily rectified but he wanted the speakers for free.

I dont have 4k posts but I am here constantly reading, etc. Sold and bought about 100 items over the past 14 years or so.

So maybe cut some slack. Thanks

FYI- shipping costs are sky high. This is causing ebay sellers, Amazon, etc to skimp on packing. I would say 30% of electronics purchased online are damaged in shipping.
  • dbryantdbryant Posts: 384
This amp has never been shipped and was a trade with a local audiophile. If someone is really interested, and not apt to be a tool, I will sell it.

    Pics can be added.
