Monitor 10's score

Popped up on CL this morning about 50 mins. from home. Monitor 10's with no labels, maybe 10b's? Got them from the original owner and they are in great shape, just one small corner ding on the back of one.

Not sure what I will do with them, but I regretted selling them the last time I had a set, so I might try to find a spot for them in my bedroom in place of the M5jrs.

$50, couldn't pass it up. He had two NAD receivers as well that he wasn't sure what he wanted for them. I didn't take enough money with me to make a decent offer so I didn't even look them over.

I only had $42 more with me and I think I could have talked him into that, but just couldn't do that. He asked me what I thought and I told him to check eBay but maybe, since he's moving and in a hurry, to try $100 for one.

Did you happen to notice the model numbers?

Didn't even see them. Since I couldn't buy one, I didn't want to feel bad about not getting one.

Well, if the mood strikes, I'd be happy to help with any insight if you learn what they are.

Most people just listen to music and watch movies. I EXPERIENCE them.

Can you go back and see or can you call him for the model #'s?

Could be a model 3020 receiver in his possession. Sometimes the sellers will take 20.00 or so. I know. :)B):p

I'm with you there, Polk and NAD are always a good match.

Nice find! I jusy scopped up a minty pair Monitor 7 Jrs. and awaiting the return of my Yammy CA integrated from the repair show. At some point I will build some shorter, angled stands but here is my 2nd system now:

I don't think they are going to work in the bedroom. I was foolish enough to sell a very nice pair of M7c's because I thought they were too big for the space. I replaced them with the M5jr+ pair on top of the M10's.

    Looks a bit like overkill.

    Looks good to me. ;)

But I've been known to stack speakers too.
