AM tube radio

I have an old tube radio that is from the 20s or 30s. My grandparents and my mom would listen to FDR during the 30s and 40s; WW2.

Don't know any more about it but here are some photos.

That piece is really cool! Exquisite woodwork!
Be careful about powering it up. Inspect the chassis. The wire insulation (rubber) could be dry rotted, and the capacitors (at least on my old Philip) had cardboard sleeves with tar like material on the ends that had some leakage. I took it to a local shop and had it all refurbished.

AM? Why would anybody want a radio that you can only listen to during the first 12 hours of the day?

I have a dimbulb tester, but there is something wrong with it. Every time I pick it up and hold it, an alarm goes off. :p

    Impressive!
You've built your rep on drunk posting.

Having an "audio rep" is not something I would aspire to. See....I actually like women.

There, I fixed that for you. No wounds here. Although, I do find social train wrecks highly entertaining. HAHAHA

Note to self: "I'll" without an apostrophe is "ill". Too funny. :D

    You know best Viking.

Yeah, you say that now, but almost everyone on this forum knows how your tune can change in less than an hour after what we saw last week.

I gave verb a Scorpions CD in a selfless act of karma. You better respect me, bro! :p:p:p
