Article on main page...not sure what channels it will be on or w/e - but a portion of the movie was shot in Kannapolis (like 10 minutes away from where I live ;))

It's supposed to show on ESPN, per the commercials I've been seeing. I'm thinking about having a big '3', with wings, painted on the grilles of my SRS.

    Cheers,

Why would they make a movie about Dale Earnhardt?

Well for those of us that dig NASCAR he's kind of a legend.

I realize most norteast coast and left coast people wont appreciate it much but for those of us here in "flyover country" we'll enjoy it! ;)

I just got through watching it...

Pretty good movie all considering! I think I know the house they used too, looked oddly familiar...

I wonder if they REALLY used Pillowtex for the filming of the mill part? I mean considering they are out of business and all....

    HMM...

Interesting, good movie...good tribute to a great racer, IMO

It was a good movie... not great by any means but the HD was outstanding which made it all worth while;)

I was and will always be in the Earnhardt camp.

Because you don't realize the effort it takes to drive those cars in circles. It's possibly the most difficult and dangerous thing one who is not in a military operation can do.

Because they are driving at speeds up to 185 MPH and in a crowd of 40 other drivers all trying their best to pass you and/or knock you out. All while trying not to kill themselves! Not even a close comparison to "driving around in circles".

Just sit down and watch a race sometime and youll see not only the skill involved but the strategy as well.
