Happy Saturday
So I got my seconded set of 80F/X-RT to replace my old TC80i and was going to try to rerun the wire to all of my ceiling speakers. http://forum.polkaudio.com/discussion/183222/surround-speakers#latest
No joy. I tried fish tape and a few other thing I saw on YouTube for running wires. This builder sure made it hard. The nice people at Lowe's let me return the fish tape and sticks.
The gray wire is what is in my house, I wanted to replace it with Monoprice 14awg (white)
THe gray wire say's "New Generation" on it. There is some other marking under the paint. I scrapped it away it says "by Belden". So leaving this stuff in is not a complete loss.
This is the first time I've had all my ceiling speakers matching. Sounds like a Deadpool evening to me

When I was a kid my parents told me to turn it down. Now I'm an adult and my kids tell me to turn it down.

Says "Tinned Copper". At least it doesn't say CCA or is that just another way of saying it?When I was a kid my parents told me to turn it down. Now I'm an adult and my kids tell me to turn it down.

Belden is better wire anyway.
You can thank the builder -

Yeah, well at least I'm not going to call an electrician to replace my wire. When I was a kid my parents told me to turn it down. Now I'm an adult and my kids tell me to turn it down.

^yeah forgot all about that movie^
A friend that is a contractor came over and looked at the way the builder wired my home. He said it's not as easy as it looks to follow the way they wired my house. $200 minimum for his electrician to come out plus his drywall guy will charge a bit too. Looks like I'm sticking with the 16awg Belden wire.
I would have liked to have one solid run of wire. Currently it spliced in two places to make it work. This house was designed to have the TV in a niche that only holds a 42" TV.When I was a kid my parents told me to turn it down. Now I'm an adult and my kids tell me to turn it down.
