Will someone please explain to me what the fascination is with this guy?

I'm always hearing or seeing commercials on the radio, TV and the internet about this dude and can't for the life of me figure out what is so damn special.

It seems like he has some huge marketing giant out there forcing him on the public. IMHO, there's nothing about him that we haven't seen or heard before a million times over.

I tried listening to one song and quickly shut his **** OFF!

    If someone can explain John's question then perhaps they can explain this whole "Idol" thing. I mean who actually listens to that crap? It reminds me of Muszak with vocals added.

    Yeah, that whole "Idol" thing was so rediculous. I think Aiken shared his marketing firm with that big wind bag Ruben Studdard. His **** was being forced on the world when he won Idol. I personally never watched one single moment of that show. I always heard people doing the "Water Cooler Babbling" about it the following day.

    I'm sure these guys have nice voices, but thats it! BE GONE!!!
