    It looks brand new!! NICE!

Why were Reel to Reel recorders/players so darn complicated and jammed with electronics and HEAVY as heck too?

Now that kind of deal is what I'm thinking about getting next. If one shows up here. I might even drive a ways for that rack at that price.

And those Salamander Rack deals....No question about jumping fast on one of them too.

But I still might make my own.
I made a bunch of 1 1/2" or 2" square OAK table legs years ago and they've been in my storage shed barn for years now. I hope termites haven't found them!! :# I need to check soon!!!

Clipdat had some QC control issues with them, and then bad customer service to boot.

    LOL...
I've said shed, but I have two. I just posted pictures a week or 3 ago and a BARN shaped shed is in one of them. soooo I tried to pinpoint where those Oak pre-made table legs are. See below.

First iteration of the entry-level modern Marantz CD players. Offered near me. Anyone had one, any issues, quality? Too old? Should I keep looking for a newer version of same? Price seems a tad high. I see some of the newer ones once in a while on CL. Thanks!

Nice looking Polk R30 towers. Someone spilled something on the cloth grills though.

I bet they sound pretty good!

    Shame about those homemade jumpers.

I thought that it would provide better sound to use a peice of cable rather than the original jumpers...

I'd just keep the jumpers in place versus using that 18-22ga **** thin **** **** wire. But that's just me.

I'd pass on both. The R30's are polks bottom of the barrel line, and the Monitor 60's are barely a step up.

    And both are overpriced.

I would too but I wouldn’t keep the jumpers there anyway I’d replace them with some of my Monoprice cable.

I haven’t seen that either but whatever it is it sure looks nice, and seems to have quite a following judging by the current price and number of bids.

I didn't have a solid memory of this Integrated either. I've heard the name and probably read reviews in Stereophile but didn't retain memories since they are way out of my league. But I just went to Ebay and ...WOW, used ones are still way up there out of my reach.

If somebody gets that for under 1500.00, they would've gotten a heck of a deal. I like how bright and clear that display is.

I have several (~10-12) CD/SACD players. I've always wanted to try one on these newer Marantz units for fun as I've heard very good things about them. I was thinking maybe $50.00 max. on a 11-12 year old unit. Thanks.
