Center Channel Speaker Choice
Question: 255c-LS or 265-LS for center channel in an 11.2 setup.
Building a new home theater setup and want everything in-wall. All six (lower) channels will be 265-LS, but the center channel wall location is in a wall bay shared by a pvc pipe coming down from the upstairs floor. The width of the 255c-LS I think is two inches too wide to allow to be mounted next to the pipe when oriented horizontally.
So I have two choices - install a 255c-LS turned at 90 degrees so the longer dimension is the height. Or, just get a 7th 265-LS and use one for the center channel. Looking at the specs its hard to see if that would be a problem. My power will be at 200 watts a channel.

Go big and run it vertical, especially if it sits behind the screen.

Center is the most important speaker in an HT setup get the best you can and there shouldn’t be a problem mounting it vertically.
